It is now easier than ever to get to Roatan. The newly expanded Roatan International Airport (RTB) sees many direct international and local flights every week. Delta airlines now runs direct flights from Atlanta, Continental runs two direct flights a week from Houston and Taca has it’s direct Miami flights. American Airlines flies into San Pedro Sula direct from New York. Taca, Islena, Atlantic and Sosa Airlines all have daily connecting flights to all International hubs in Central America. A short hop to San Pedro Sula or San Salvador connects you to every major city in the world.

There is a weekly direct charter from Milan, and now WestJet is seasonally offering direct charter flights through Conquest Vacations from Toronto.

This idyllic, unknown gem of the Caribbean is being re-discovered.

Airport transfer: $10 per person ($40 maximum for up to 8 guests).
After 6.00 p.m. Astor will ask for an additional US$ 5.00 per person.

Departure: There is a departure tax of U.S. $36.00 per person, payable in cash. It takes approximately 40 minutes from West Bay Village to the airport, so allow yourself plenty of time. Be sure to reconfirm your reservation before departure. We can organize your trip back to the airport once you are here.

Ferry Service: If you are coming overland through La Ceiba, the regular ferry service: Safeways “Galaxy” (504 445-1795), departs for Roatan every day at 10am and 4pm. The trip takes two hours, and returns to La Ceiba every day at 7am and 1pm. (Pay the extra few dollars for the option of 1st class with A/C and refreshments).

Pick-up from the ferry dock in Dixon Cove can also be arranged.

West Bay is somewhat isolated and so you may wish to rent a car. Let us know in advance and we can book something for you.

Getting to West Bay Village: Driving on the island is very easy, as there is really just one road running the length of the island.

As you leave the airport take a left. This road will take you west out of the Coxen Hole area. After 10 minutes or so you will pass through Sandy Bay. Another ten minutes brings you to the entrance of West End Town. Just before the beach there is a road up to the left, marked “West Bay”. Follow this road until you reach the peak or ridge of the island. Here the road splits at a large white building on the right called “Latitudes”. Take the turn up to the right and continue following the ridge-line. There are some great views along this road. As the road drops back down to the sea, you enter West Bay. The entrance to West Bay Village is the 2nd drive way past West Bay Mall. There is a gate and a gravel road. Follow this past Paradise Beach Club, turn right into the Village gate and the office sits below the first house on the right (Monkey Lala). We will see you there to meet and greet you to your island home; give you keys and settle you in.
