The perfect Caribbean cottage and only 100 paces from the water, Flip Flops is located in West Bay Village an oasis of privately owned homes on West Bay Beach. Just a moments stroll from bars and restaurants. Private and convenient, this location is unbeatable, close to the amenities of West Bay Beach yet secluded and private surrounded by lush tropical gardens.
Just 200 meters swim off the beach you will encounter amazing snorkeling & diving, exploring our reefs could not be easier!
This home offers an island style charm all of its own. It has a master bedroom with Serta Perfect Sleeper king bed & en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom can be configured as two twins or a king and extra guests can be accommodated on a new sofa sleeper with a memory foam mattress. There is a second bathroom with twin sinks and large shower.
Outdoors is a grilling table and spacious grill deck with bench seating, a great place to kick back and grill under the stars. You can also dine under the stars at the garden bench table or under cover on the main deck. The main front deck is screened in so guests can enjoy the space bug-free!
A large, open dining area adjoins the fully equipped kitchen which leads through to the large living room adorned with original Cuban artwork, couches, easy chairs and cable T.V. Fiber optic wifi was added in Spring 2021.
Flip Flops is located in the sanctuary of West Bay Village, a cozy collection of 8 Caribbean-style homes located right on West Bay Beach. Each home is private in its own space, yet close enough to your neighbor to make it easy for a quick visit. This area is popular with groups due to this convenient and private arrangement of the homes. There is a beach area that offers all WBV guests beach loungers and a marked swim area.

The property beautiful, beyond the expectations of the photos. It was spacious enough that the 5 adults never felt like we were in each others way. We loved the inclosed sun porch for morning coffee and evening drinks.

Our flight was delayed on a Sunday, and we were met at the airport by our driver who brought us to the grocery store and then to check in. We know everyone had to wait for us, and they were so patient and kind. They had a nice welcome package waiting in the fridge as well. The check in process was so quick, we were able to get to the beach for a dip after a long day of travel.

West Bay Village was amazing. Our House, Flip-Flop, was spacious and well stocked. It had wifi, ac, washer/dryer and cable TV, and excellent water pressure for a nice hot shower. After a long day of playing, it felt like home. The village of homes is secure and quiet. They are eco conceious and the grounds are impeccably clean. The 24 hour security personnel really took care to make our stay safe and pleasant! Its a great place for families to stay! It was amazing and beautiful. A perfect place for children to enjoy, and the gardens are impeccable. We also liked how the houses include information and resources for recycling, but we thought there could be more emphasis and information about the natural resources on the island. Ryan was wonderful and checked on us several time during our stay which I didn't expect. Ruth was also great and was happy to answer any question I had about the vacation prior to our arrival.

Prior to our trip I was really concerned about safety issues. I have to say I felt very safe and everyone on the island was so nice and helpful. Roatan Activies was also great to arrange paddles boards and Dawson was a great teacher for those of us who were paddle board challenged. All I can say about this trip is that it was the vacation of my dreams and I can't wait to take the rest of our family.

Special thanks for helping with the wifi and helping us to arrange a visit to the orphanage so we could make a donation.

I wish there was a maybe button. The house we stayed at this time was ok but will go back to the yellow house next time. The beds really are not comfortable with no box spring and the bathrooms need to be redone. The house is painted nice and for the price its not bad but I personally would rather pay a few extra bucks if the upgrades were done. Had a great time though just for the record. best location in my opinion. RESPONSE: Thank you for the review and kudos, Eric! A wonderful vacation rental...! The property was exactly for what needed. The location is the nearest place to the most wonderful beaches of Roatan and it has all the amenities we needed for a good stay.
